In 1986, Community Housing by Pacific Retirement Services (CHPRS), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was formed to ensure that seniors and families, regardless of their economic situation, have an opportunity to enjoy a comfortable, secure living environment.
Working through the federal government's Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 202 Program, CHPRS opened its first affordable senior housing community (Ross Knotts Retirement Center) in Medford, Oregon, in 1986. Today, nearly 20 years later, CHPRS sponsors 24 subsidized facilities throughout Oregon, California, and Texas. In addition, there are three affordable housing facilities currently in development.
With nearly 20 years of experience in dealing with city managers, planners, and redevelopment agencies; community service groups; state housing authorities; and city, state, and federal government funding agencies—RVMCH has the know-how to make any affordable housing project a reality.
